What do I need to do before the cable will work? Can I just plug it in, or do I need to install a software driver?
With the OneTouch® Serial Cable, just plug it into your meter and the serial port (COM port) of your computer. You may need to restart your computer if another device had been using the serial port. With the OneTouch® USB cable, you must install a software driver before using it for the first time. The driver is provided on a CD that is packaged with the USB cable. You can also download the software driver from our site. Once installed, the size of the driver will vary depending on your operating system; the maximum size is about 200 KB. The driver is required only for the USB version of the OneTouch® Interface Cable. The driver is provided on a CD that is packaged with the USB cable, or it can be downloaded from this Web site.
