Dear LifeScan Customer:

If you use a OneTouch® UltraSmart® Blood Glucose Meter, we want to make you aware of a change that needs to be made to your Owner’s Booklet and Quick Reference Guide.

When blood glucose results are from 1.1 through 3.3 mmol/L, your meter is designed to display the message “Do you need a snack?” beneath your blood glucose test result (Fig. 1).

However, your Owner’s Booklet and Quick Reference Guide incorrectly state that this message will appear when blood glucose results are between 1.1 and 3.9 mmol/L.

Continue Testing With Your
OneTouch® UltraSmart® Meter

This updated information has no impact on the accuracy of your test results. Your meter is performing correctly when it displays the “Do you need a snack?” message at blood glucose levels from 1.1 through 3.3 mmol/L. We recommend that you keep this letter with your meter’s instructional materials for future reference. You can continue to test your blood glucose with your OneTouch® UltraSmart® Meter.
