The OneTouch® Meter Driver is required for certain OneTouch® Blood Glucose Meters to be compatible with OneTouch® Diabetes Management Software v2.3.1 or higher. This driver is also required for health care professionals using OneTouch® Diabetes Management Software v3.1. Please ensure OneTouch Diabetes Management Software v2.3.1 or higher is installed before starting the OneTouch Meter Driver download. The OneTouch Meter Driver Software requires one of the following operating systems: Windows® 2000 Professional (SP4 or above), Windows® XP (SP2 or above) Home and Professional (SP2 or above), or Windows Vista™.

Instructions for download and installation
- First ensure that OneTouch Diabetes Management Software (including SnapShot™ for the health care professional versions) is not running during the installation of this software update.
- Choose the Download link and select “Open” in the File Download dialog box.
- You will be presented with InstallShield instructional messages. Follow these instructions.
- Once installation is complete, you can begin using your meter with OneTouch Diabetes Management Software.
Additional information: performing an "Uninstall"
If you need to uninstall the driver at some point in the future, follow these instructions.
- Open the "Control Panel" and choose the icon for "Add/Remove Programs".
- Locate and highlight "Meter Drivers for OneTouch® Software". Select "Remove".
- You will be presented with InstallShield instructional messages. Follow these instructions.
It is recommended that you shut down all other running programs and reboot your PC.
Note to OneTouch® Ultra®2 Meter users: After installation of the Meter Driver, you may notice “ATE” on your meter display when attempting to download your meter. If this occurs, you will temporarily not be able to operate the meter or download your data. After two minutes, the meter will time-out and shut off and full function will be restored. To prevent this from happening in the future, remember to connect the USB Cable to your OneTouch Ultra2 Meter before selecting the Download Meter Button.
Note to OneTouch® Diabetes Management Software Pro Users: After installation of the Meter Driver, you may notice “ATE” on a OneTouch Ultra2 Meter display when attempting to download meter data while using the SnapShot™ feature. This message may appear briefly and then the meter will download normally.
